Hello worlds 🌷~ Here we are (I am) still vamping for the algorithm while it all spins on. I’ve spent the last two days talking to friends and family, sharing and receiving love. My dear friend @kimberlyzzyzx ‘s words have stayed with me, saying, “There’s a lot of be grateful for and a lot to fight for. I’ll do both.” I am ready for momentum and gratitude. It’s in that spirit that I am choosing to celebrate my own small achievement in the face of this reality, still believing in everything I believed in before. Still so grateful and even more so now, for the support of @hesseflatow and everyone who has shown up for what I believe in - Art. Creativity. Community. With that, and with one final day to see this show, I’m sending a last round of applause to all of you beautiful people who showed the hell up for me and for the world. The dream is NOT over ✊🌷

Touch Every Flower is in its final week @hesse_flatow ~ Looking at art is likely not anyone’s top priority at the moment. Yet these are the times we live in where overwhelming feelings of joy and anxiety do battle. Made over the last year, these paintings hold both of those things tightly. Looking at art has always been a “port in the storm” for me, escapism yes, but I do believe truly great art can give you something new each time you come to it. The joy I’ve felt from the community of artists I’ve spoken with and whose work I’ve seen this month in the galleries is one of the things giving me hope in this increasingly anxious time. Included above are some of those works. I feel lucky to have been in such good company this month and am so happy that all of this work is being made and looked at right now. All this to say, go see some art, go vote, hang in there. You are not alone 💛
